Lakeland Community College offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice, for which we invite qualified candidates to submit their application as an expression of interest in future teaching opportunities.
Semester: Daytime hours, as needed, during Fall and Spring sessions, beginning in the fall of 2026.
Please note: Course schedules vary by semester and are subject to change based on enrollment and staffing; however, candidates must be available to teach during daytime hours Monday through Friday, which is a requirement for this position.
Courses: May include lecture and/or hybrid (on-campus and online combination) classes. There are no openings to teach fully online courses.

- CRMJ 2210 - Ethics in Criminal Justice
- CRMJ 2216 – Criminal Procedure
- CRMJ 2244 - Criminology
- CRMJ 2250 - Current Issues in Criminal Justice
- CRMJ 2260 - Interview and Interrogation

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required: A master’s degree or higher in criminal justice or a closely related discipline.
- Preferred: 1) Prior experience working in the criminal justice field; 2) Prior experience teaching college-level courses; and/or 3) Prior experience teaching at a community college.
COMPENSATION: Part-time faculty earn $792 per unit of load.
