Lakeland Community College invites qualified candidates to submit their application to teach one or two sections of Sociology 1150 – Principles of Sociology at Perry High School, a Lakeland College Credit Plus partner.
Spring Semester: January – May 2026
Course: SOCY 1150 – Principles of Sociology (3 units of load) at Perry High School
Course Description: This course provides an introduction to the theoretical perspectives and research methods used by sociologists to understand and interpret our social world. Major components of the course include a sociological analysis of culture, socialization, social institutions, stratification, and social change with society.
Course Times Available: Perry High School (1 Success Blvd, Perry, OH 44081):
- Monday/Wednesday, 9:15 a.m. - 10:40 a.m.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required: Master’s degree and 18 graduate credit hours in sociology (either as part of the degree or additional course work beyond the degree).
- Preferred: Master’s degree in sociology and experience teaching college-level courses at a community college.
