Full-time Staff: Student Success Coordinator

This position is responsible for providing a welcoming environment and direct support to the Learning Center and triaging responses and guidance to students, faculty and staff who visit. This role supports onboarding, retention, and student success initiatives for the Enrollment Management division.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Non-inclusive):

  • Greet and assist students, faculty and staff in answering inquiries about services, schedules, campus resources, manage appointments using scheduling software to maintain up-to-date records, print tutor schedules 
  • Answer calls and respond to voicemail, updating schedules as necessary. Manage the Learning Center email and respond in a timely manner. Assist with Learning Center and Counseling & Advising Center promotional email blast. 
  • Manage early alert process and oversee follow-up responses to students and faculty. Support About Me new student inventory follow-up.
  • Maintain and update records, no-shows and cancellations within our scheduling system. Electronically distribute weekly report to instructors. Maintain and update the list of accommodation students. 
  • Will support institutional retention initiatives and may teach First Year Experience 
  • Collaborate with various campus departments such as Counseling & Advising, Test Center, Student Service Center, Accommodation Center, Student Engagement & Leadership, and CARE Team.
  • Address and resolve minor technical issues related to tutoring and Webex appointments. Assist students with minor blackboard issues. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training and Experience Required/Preferred

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred: Master’s degree
  • Experience: Experience working in academic support services, counseling and advising services, communicating with students, faculty, and staff, or customer service.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and tasks; make decisions and solve problems

  • Excellent computer skills/experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software

Physical Activity Level

Light - mostly sit, stand, and walk occasionally.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

This is a full-time, continuing-status staff position. The work schedule includes 40 hours per week and requires working flexible hours including evenings and weekends. The college’s business hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., M-F.
