Help Desk

Days/Hours: Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.; alternate Fridays 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.; alternate Saturdays 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. (note these hours may vary depending on the semester)

Salary:  $11.00/hour

Department/Location:  Help Desk (Room C-2060)

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Troubleshoot, resolve and document student, staff and faculty technical issues
  • Communicate with technology users of various skill levels and comfort with technology

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Academic major/coursework:  Technology/ISYS major preferred
  • Computer/Software Experience: 
    • Proficient with MS Office, Windows, macOS, Internet browsers, Chromebooks, Android and iOS mobile devices
    • Ability to learn Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Webex, Banner, Blackboard and other applications
    • Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software concerns
  • Additional Skills:
    • Ability to maintain accurate records according to college policy
    • Ability to work with a team and independently
    • Must be dependable and flexible
    • Must have good customer service and communication skills
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
