Student Wellness Ambassador

Student Worker - Federal Work Study ONLY

Student Worker positions are open to all students enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester. Students must be in “good academic standing,” and have a 2.0 accumulative GPA to begin working and maintain a 2.0 accumulative GPA to continue to work. New students do not have a GPA requirement. ALL students are required to apply annually for financial aid by completing the FAFSA form. If you need help with the FASFA form, call the Financial Aid & Enrollment Support Department (440-525-7070).  Students applying for 'Federal Work Study Only' positions must be eligible to receive financial aid in the form of Federal Work Study.

Days/Hours:  Flexible; 4-8 hours per week (9am-3pm Monday -Friday) 

Salary:  $11.00/hr.

Job Location: Lakeland Community College

Supervisor:  Dr. Kenneth Browner 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in campus outreach events
  • Staff newly developed Relaxation Zones on campus
  • Implement strategies to inform campus community about wellness initiatives
  • Engage students in wellness campaigns through in-person, email, online, and social media

Skills you will potentially learn or enhance:

  • Enhance communication and presentation skills

Successful candidates will possess the following: (education/completed courses, skills or experience)

  • Enthusiastic, outgoing, and reliable
  • Interested in wellness outreach 
  • Planning on being enrolled through Fall 2023 semester
