Lakeland Community College's Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) is a 5 Star Step Up to Quality Award Center providing children, ages 16 months through Pre-K, with a developmentally appropriate education using a curriculum that is based on discovery, guided exploration, and play. The TLC offers young children the opportunity to establish an excitement for learning through teacher guidance, social interactions, positive relationships, and meaningful school activities.  The TLC is open Monday through Friday 7:15 am. until 6:00 p.m. all year. Children can be enrolled in either a toddler or preschool program.

More than a child care center, the TLC is a licensed NAEYC (National Association for Education of Young Children) accredited teaching facility. All TLC teachers are experienced educators with degrees in early childhood education and have Ohio teaching licenses.  The facility includes physically controlled access and the campus enjoys the protection of a dedicated law-enforcement team, among other security features. To learn more about Lakeland’s TLC: http://www.lakelandcc.edu/web/about/tlc-departments.
